Ingredients

  • 500 g of whiting fillets
  • 700 g of potatoes
  • 4 cloves of smoked garlic
  • 3 dl of cream
  • 100 g butter
  • 2 shallots
  • 100 g grated Gruyère cheese
  • Nutmeg
  • Salt, pepper
  • Bay leaves

Preparation

Peel the potatoes. Boil them in salted water with the smoked garlic cloves.

Coarsely chop the whiting fillets. Add the finely chopped shallots.

Cook in the cream with salt, pepper, nutmeg, and bay leaves. Set aside.

After cooking, mash the potatoes to make a chunky mash. Add salt, pepper, nutmeg, and butter, then finish with a little cream and chopped chervil.

In an oven-safe dish, layer the whiting and mashed potatoes. Sprinkle with grated Gruyère cheese.

Bake until golden brown. Enjoy your meal!
