Educator nudging toolkit

This nudging guide is designed for teachers, science centre educators, NGO facilitators and youth workers who want to build genuine food literacy around sustainable seafood—without lectures, guilt or greenwashing. It maps five specific barriers that stop people from making better seafood choices (automatic defaults, unfamiliar species, cost anxiety, sustainability fatigue, and low-impact options perceived as niche) and pairs each with evidence-based activity types that have been tested in real classrooms, science centres and community settings. The toolkit was developed by Three o’clock in collaboration with pilot partners Nordnorsk Vitensenter (NNV) in Norway, the Cyprus Marine and Maritime Institute (CMMI) in Cyprus, and Nausicaá, Centre National de la Mer in France.
