New Mr.Goodfish tools: an exhibition and videos

6 May 2026

For the past 10 years, the Mr.Goodfish program has aimed to share its recommendations with the general public and industry professionals. Numerous tools have been created to raise awareness of this initiative among as many people as possible. This year, two of them have been updated to adapt to current trends: the Mr.Goodfish exhibition at Nausicaá, the National Sea Center in Boulogne-sur-Mer, and the awareness videos.

The new Mr.Goodfish exhibition:

In the new Mr.Goodfish exhibition, the goal was to highlight the “voice of the consumer.” Through an interactive space, visitors are invited to choose the right fish from a restaurant menu. They can thus apply the program’s recommendations in real time and then receive a recipe suggestion featuring the selected species.

We wanted to engage with the public by raising awareness of our criteria for fishing and aquaculture, while highlighting the involvement of the entire industry—and especially the commitment of our members over the past 10 years!

With a dedicated space—a totem consisting of three screens at the heart of the exhibition—all member establishments and/or partners can be highlighted through a profile. This consists of a 5-second video clip without dialogue, featuring the company name and the person’s role.

We hope that every establishment participating in the program will be able to adopt and use this new communication tool. Members who have not yet had the opportunity to be filmed can contact mrgoodfish@nausicaa.fr for more information.

Mr.Goodfish Videos:

After several years of operation, it became important to update the awareness videos used by Mr.Goodfish.
To maintain a dynamic feel, the program’s introductory video is an animated version featuring the mascot “Mr.Goodfish.” In various scenes, the consumer, the fishmonger, the fisherman, and the restaurant owner take turns to simply explain the approach and the different fishing and aquaculture criteria. This video format is well-suited for sharing on social media and can be used in member establishments.

In 2020, Mr.Goodfish turns 10! Throughout these years, the entire industry has stood by our side. To highlight your contributions, we’ve created a video featuring interviews with industry representatives: a restaurant owner, a fishmonger, a fisherman, a producer, and a scientist. Each interviewee explains their involvement and motivations for participating in the Mr.Goodfish program. Due to the current health situation, filming has been delayed; the video will be available by the end of the year.
