“Pooling our resources! It was with this in mind that, in 2011, Xavier le Floch and I—having sailed together for many years, he on the Carmalia (pictured here) and I on the Annytia—decided to establish the APAK (Keroman Small-Scale Fishing Fleet) in the fishing port of Lorient.
The fleet has since grown significantly with the addition of four other vessels: the Naoned, the Dolmen, the Menhirs, and the Menawenn.

Our versatility allows us, using appropriate selective gear, to engage in seasonal fishing in the English Channel and the Atlantic for species such as: gilthead seabream, Norway lobster, and hake, with a constant commitment to respecting the environment and preserving the resource.
Driven by these convictions, and eager to promote and share them, it seemed natural to us to lend our support to the on-the-ground initiatives led by Mr.Goodfish, in the spirit of positive action that defines them.
Small-scale fishermen, who are now better trained and technically better equipped, are well aware that marine resources are not inexhaustible. They are eager to contribute to their preservation, but fishing at sea remains an unpredictable and opportunistic activity. We need the recommendations and initiatives led by Mr.Goodfish to help us respect the natural cycle of seafood. Engaging our crews in environmental stewardship, while working with our partners to promote the values of the fishing industry to the general public and consumers, is one of the pillars of our company.”
