The Mr. Goodfish Contest

6 May 2026

“Mr.Goodfish is launching its first cooking contest
dedicated to sustainable, in-season fish.”

Become an ambassador for responsible consumption
of seafood!

Until April 30, 2023, Mr.Goodfish is accepting entries for the first edition of its cooking contest open to all restaurant professionals.

Organized in partnership with the Albert II of Monaco Foundation and the National Academy of Cuisine, the Mr.Goodfish competition aims to highlight the importance of consuming sustainably caught fish in season.

Under the patronage of Chef Guillaume Gomez and featuring a jury of renowned professionals, the Mr.Goodfish competition will recognize the creation of a recipe in which the responsible consumption of seafood is central.

The competition final will take place on June 8, 2023, at Nausicaá in Boulogne-sur-Mer, on World Oceans Day. On the day of the event, the six selected candidates will prepare a starter and a main course using the ingredients provided to them, in accordance with the Mr.Goodfish program’s guidelines.
Two prizes will be awarded: the professionals’ prize and the audience prize.

This project may lead to concrete initiatives with the Mr.Goodfish program and with Nausicaá, the National Sea Center in Boulogne-sur-Mer. Additionally, the contest winner will receive a trophy to be displayed until the next edition, a gift package, and a complimentary one-year Mr.Goodfish membership.

Designated as “Hauts-de-France, European Region of Gastronomy 2023,” this competition is part of the event program for Hauts-de-France, the first French region to receive this designation.
