Itechmer in Lorient & Taste Week

6 May 2026

The international gathering of fishing industry professionals in France took place in Lorient from October 6 to 8, 2021.
Over the course of three days, numerous conferences on various topics aimed to raise awareness and mobilize stakeholders regarding the future of the sector. Mr.Goodfish was invited to participate in one of these conferences, titled “When Communication Gets Involved,” which addressed the challenges of promoting seafood from sustainable fisheries through communication.

As part of Taste Week, which took place from October 11 to 17, the Euro-Toques France association and the Mr.Goodfish program challenged chefs to a culinary challenge.

During the week, chefs were asked to create a dish featuring a species recommended by the Mr.Goodfish program for fall 2021. The dish was enhanced through one of the five basic tastes: salty, sweet, bitter, sour, and umami. This offered a wealth of possibilities for creativity. After creating and preparing the dish, the idea was to share a photo of it on social media using the hashtags #mrgoodfish #eurotoques #semainedugout.

Thank you to all the participants—the many recipes had us drooling for an entire week: a “tasty success”!
