"Eating locally is the ideal"

This is the guiding principle of the school cafeteria at Pierre Joseph Fontaine High School in Anzin (59). Serving high-quality, locally sourced cuisine while educating our students, empowering them to protect our planet, eat well, and take care of their health—all in partnership with various stakeholders, including Mr.Goodfish. Together, we will sail the waves of an ocean of respect and humility in harmony with nature.

Two stars* were awarded this year in recognition of our convictions and the efforts of an entire team, several external partners, 20 local producers, 4 teachers, and a class serving as ambassadors for quality cuisine, all of whom champion this project. You don’t change a winning team.

* Since 2017, the European Metropolis of Lille, together with its various partners, has implemented a joint charter titled “Ici manger local” (Eat Local Here). It encourages institutional dining facilities to increase the proportion of local and organic products on their plates. To recognize these establishments, it awards one, two, or three stars based on the percentage of local ingredients used.
