APAK joins the Mr. Goodfish program

6 May 2026

Since June 2018, the APAK fishing fleet (Armement de la Pêche Artisanale de Keroman) has joined the Mr.Goodfish program, enrolling its six vessels: the Naoned, the Annytia, the Carmalia, the Dolmen, the Menhirs, and the Menawenn. Based in Lorient, these artisanal trawlers, each about 20 meters long, fish in the Northeast Atlantic. Versatile, they adapt their fishing grounds and techniques according to the season and the target species. For the summer of 2018, Mr.Goodfish recommends several of their signature species, such as Norway lobster, hake, and gilthead seabream.

Ensuring the freshness, quality, and traceability of their products while respecting the environment and preserving marine resources is one of this fishing fleet’s core commitments.

This partnership between APAK and the Mr.Goodfish program highlights a shared vision of sustainable fishing, embraced by the entire industry from fisherman to consumer: “the best product at the best time” (APAK website).
