Lorient Harbor Festival

6 May 2026

To celebrate Ports en fête, the Espace des sciences/Maison de la Mer invites residents to share their best seafood recipes on the Facebook group "Innover avec les produits de la mer- Pays de Lorient."

The goal is to build a community of food lovers eager to experiment with innovative and sustainable dishes (new, forgotten, or reimagined, using species and cuts rarely cooked), particularly based on Mr.Goodfish’s species recommendations.

Ideas for both "exceptional dishes" and "simple dishes" are welcome, so that everyone can try out new cooking methods based on their skill level, budget, and preferences.
Everyone will also be able to share information and news related to the region: research and development projects, and partners’ seasonal fish selections. Members who contribute before and during the Port Festival will be rewarded and may receive “favorite” awards from the public and professionals.
Children can also participate and send in a drawing of their favorite dish or their idea for a recipe of the future!
