During Taste Week, which will take place from October 11 to 17 throughout France, Mr.Goodfish has planned several events centered on the theme:
“An Ocean of Flavors”
A nationwide partnership:
Mr.Goodfish and Euro-toques France are hosting a culinary challenge: “An Ocean of Flavors.” The goal is to promote chefs’ expertise while encouraging responsible consumption of seafood.
Mr.Goodfish and Euro-toques France are inviting chefs to create a dish featuring a species recommended by the program for the fall 2021 season. The dish must be enhanced through one of the five basic tastes: salty, sweet, bitter, sour, and umami.

A multitude of possibilities for the imagination!
After creating and preparing the dish, the idea is to share a photo of it on social media using the hashtags: #mrgoodfish #eurotoques #semainedugout. Each dish will be featured on the Mr.Goodfish program’s pages and subsequently reposted.
A special menu at Nausicaa:
For one week, the chefs at Le Calypso restaurant in Nausicaa will share a special menu centered on the 5 flavors, featuring several species recommended by Mr.Goodfish. Come enjoy these new flavors!
Seaweed tastings:
Did you know there are five known tastes: sweet, salty, bitter, sour, and umami?

Many foods allow you to discover this last flavor, which is much less well-known to the general public. One of the most representative products of this taste/sensation happens to be seaweed. In partnership with the ValgOrize project, the Mr.Goodfish program has planned to organize two macroalgae tastings at the beach bistro area in Nausicaa: on Wednesday, October 13, and Saturday, October 16, between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. The idea is to give visitors a chance to share their thoughts on the taste, texture, and other aspects of these new culinary products.
