Mr.Goodfish Unveils New Website and Mobile App

15 June 2026

Press Release

Mr.Goodfish, the leading European initiative promoting sustainable seafood consumption, is proud to announce the launch of its completely redesigned website and mobile application. The digital transformation marks a significant step forward in making sustainable seafood information more accessible, engaging, and practical for consumers, seafood professionals, and educators across Europe.

The new platforms have been developed in collaboration with Bility to provide users with a seamless experience across devices, offering up-to-date recommendations on seafood species that are abundant, in season, and sourced responsibly. Through an intuitive interface and enhanced functionality, users can quickly access guidance that supports healthier oceans and more informed seafood choices.

A key feature of the new digital ecosystem is its commitment to inclusivity and accessibility. Both the website and the mobile app will be available in all official European Union languages, ensuring that sustainable seafood information can be accessed by citizens throughout Europe in their native language. This multilingual approach reflects Mr.Goodfish’s mission to engage diverse communities and make responsible seafood consumption easier and more accessible for everyone.

The redesigned website offers an enhanced user experience, featuring intuitive navigation, enriched educational content, interactive resources, and a refreshed visual identity. Visitors can explore seasonal seafood recommendations, discover inspiring recipes, and connect with restaurants, fishmongers, producers, and other professionals committed to sustainable fishing and responsible sourcing.

Complementing the website, the mobile app brings sustainable seafood guidance directly to users’ fingertips. Available on smartphones and tablets, the app enables consumers to access recommendations anytime and anywhere, whether shopping for seafood, dining out, or planning meals at home.

The launch of the renovated platforms supports Mr.Goodfish’s broader mission of raising awareness about sustainable fisheries and empowering citizens to make choices that benefit both people and the planet. By connecting consumers and business stakeholders through modern digital tools, the initiative aims to strengthen engagement and amplify its positive impact across Europe.

Since its launch in March 2010 in France by Nausicaá, Centre National de la Mer, in Italy by Acquario di Genova and in Spain by Aquarium Finisterrae, Mr.Goodfish has continuously contributed to raising awareness among the general public and professionals about the responsible consumption of seafood. Working with scientists, fisheries experts, retailers, chefs, and consumers, the initiative provides practical seasonal recommendations based on scientific data, spawning and maturity size that help protect marine biodiversity while supporting responsible fishing. Building on the success of the programme, in May 2024, Mr.Goodfish3.0 Horizon Europe project was launched aspiring to protect and restore the health of European oceans and freshwaters through research & innovation, citizen engagement and investments in the blue economy, with a 2030 target.
