Description

The yellow sea cucumber has a soft, rough, elongated body. The underside of its body is flat and slimy, as it is equipped with ambulacral feet. Adult sea cucumbers are about 30 cm long and reddish-brown in color with white spots.
Habitat
This species is found at depths ranging from 5 to over 800 meters, on sandy or muddy bottoms.
Distribution
This sea cucumber is found in the eastern Atlantic (from Ireland to Angola) and throughout the Mediterranean, as far as Turkey, with a possible range extending into tropical Atlantic regions such as the Caribbean.
