28 cm in the North-East Atlantic and 27 cm in the Mediterranean.
Starting from May in the Mediterranean.
The four-spot flounder is a species of flatfish in the family Scophthalmidae. It is a flatfish with an oval body that is highly compressed laterally and asymmetrical, with both eyes located on the left side of the head. It grows to a length of 40 cm. It can be distinguished from its close relative, the common flounder, by the four dark spots located toward the rear of the fins.

Habitat
It lives mainly on soft, sandy, or muddy bottoms. It is generally found at depths of 150 to 600 meters, but can sometimes go as deep as 800 meters. It lives at greater depths than its cousin, the whiffiagonis megrim (Lepidorhombus whiffiagonis).
Distribution
It is found in the northeastern Atlantic and the Mediterranean. It is very common throughout the Mediterranean basin, but is absent from the Black Sea.
