Who is Mr.Goodfish?


Mr.Goodfish is a campaign on the sustainable consumption of seafood products, launched under the umbrella of the World Ocean Network, by three aquariums: Nausicaa – Centre de la Mer, in France,the Acquario di Genova in Italy and the Aquarium Finisterrae in Spain.

These organisations are part of the international association:
World Ocean Network

The network gathers other 450 participating organisations which are educational organisations, aquariums, science centres, natural history museums, zoos, NGOs, etc. have an audience of more than 250 million people every year in other 60 countries all over the world.
Since 1999, World Ocean Network has developped discussions on seafood consumption public information programmes, and has organised several international and european workshops, leading to the Mr.Goodfish preview study.

In the continuity of Mr.Goodfish, Mr.Goodfish3.0 aims to raise awareness for responsible consumption of sea, freshwater and aquaculture products by upgrading and expanding the Mr.Goodfish app as part of an EU-wide awareness campaign.
