In January 2025, Verifish and Mr.Goodfish3.0 announced a collaboration to enhance sustainable seafood practices across Europe.Together, these projects will collaborate on joint consumer campaigns and stakeholder engagement to foster a more sustainable and transparent seafood industry in alignment with the EU’s “Restore our Ocean and Waters by 2030” mission.

On May 1, 2024, the “Mr.Goodfish3.0: Co-creating Solutions for Sustainable Seafood Consumption” project commenced through the European Commission’s Horizon Europe program. This three-year initiative aims to expand the Mr.Goodfish program across the EU through a large-scale awareness campaign and an upgraded app. The project will engage stakeholders in three pilot sites and two replication sites, covering major European sea and freshwater basins.
